T-Mobile Boosts M2M Market Plans
T-Mobile is boosting its Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications services after signing a co-operation agreement with Sierra Wireless. The areas of co-operation identified by the MOU are product development, marketing, sales and deployment of M2M solutions and related services.
The co-operation targets the European market, with initial focus on Germany.
Rainer Deutschmann, Senior Vice President of Mobile Products at Deutsche Telekom, said: "We are delighted to cooperate with the innovation leader in the embedded modules area. Our joint efforts are intended to bring optimized, out-of-the-box solutions to our M2M customers, and we trust that the results of our co-operation will be appreciated by the M2M market."
Dan Schieler, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Sierra Wireless, added: "We believe that there is a huge potential for many M2M customers to save great amounts of time and money.
