Motorola Win Polish Mobile TV Contract
Motorola says that it has won a Mobile TV deployment contract in Poland. The network, operated by INFO-TV-FM will be deployed in Warsaw and 9 other Polish cities, by the end of 2009. The Motorola Mobile TV solution, comprising video headend and transmitters, is based on DVB-H and OMA BCAST standards.
INFO-TV-FM will provide a wholesale mobile TV and radio offering to service providers in Poland, enabling them to deliver revenue-generating mobile media services to consumers on the move.
"We are excited to bring advanced mobile TV experiences to Poland. Motorola's innovation and expertise in the video space married with our heritage in wireless technology makes ours a compelling solution for service providers such as INFO-TV-FM" said Joe Cozzolino, senior vice president and general manager, Home & Networks Mobility, Motorola EMEA. "We hope that not only will this be the start of long term cooperation between the two companies but that the success of this project will be seen as a platform for other customer wins across the globe."
