Orange France has announced that it will start selling a 3G phone in the shape of a conventional wrist watch. The LG GD910 is the world's first 3G touch watchphone and is available from the Orange France website.

With its 1.43" tempered glass touchscreen, this slimline - less than 14mm thick - watchphone with fold fastening strap has all the features you expect of a watch (world clock, stopwatch and splash resistant - IPX4 standard). The LG GD910 also boasts the features of the most advanced mobile phones: touchscreen with simple, fluid interface, VGA camera, MP3 player, diary, dictaphone, etc.

The Watch Phone is the first touch watch phone in the world to feature 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA compatibility.

It is available from 6 August 2009 exclusively from Orange at its website http://www.orange.fr, starting from EUR 399 with subscription to 12 or 24-month contract. The LG GD910 is also available for Orange customers as part of the "Changer de Mobile" (Change your Mobile) Programme.

Orange originally announced plans to sell the phone back in February, when the handset was announced by LG.
