First CDMA Phone with Analogue TV Receiver

Chinese CDMA handset manufacturer, Guizhou Zhenhua Moint Communication has launched a new handset that incorporates an analogue TV receiver. The handset is the first to bring Telegent's free-to-air mobile TV feature to CDMA operator networks and is now launched in China Telecom stores in a number of provinces throughout China.

"The ability to enjoy live, free TV in addition to the typical features of a mobile phone adds value to our customers," said Mr. Ma, vice general manager of eSurfing Telecom Terminal Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Telecom. "The addition of the Zhenhua Moint's CDMA mobile TV handset to our mobile phone portfolio allows us to capitalize on the popularity of this feature."

"We are delighted to work with China Telecom and Zhenhua Moint to extend the availability of Telegent's mobile TV solution to CDMA consumers."

The MT-V810, in addition to TV and FM radio reception, features a 2.4" touchscreen and a 1.3 megapixel camera, supports up to six hours of continuous TV viewing time, 200 minutes of talk time and 300 hours standby time and measures 107.9×52.6×16.2mm. It stores up to 1000 contacts and features external storage of up to 2GB.
