Telekom Austria Fixed-Mobile Subscriber Base Reaches 250,000

The Telekom Austria Group has announced that its Fixed Net subsidiary, Telekom Austria, has reached the 250,000 customer mark with its mobile telephony service ‘aonMobil' as of May 2009. ‘aonMobil' is Austria's most rapidly growing mobile offering: in a year-on-year comparison, ‘aonMobil' subscribers increased by more than six times from 2007 to 2008, and from January 2009 to date, total subscribers increased by 133%.

Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO Telekom Austria Group, said: "Communications services from one source are the future. One-stop-shop advantages for the customer are evident: one single point of contact, one single brand and one single bill. The mobile service ‘aonMobil' is integral part of our fixed net product bundles and has been enthusiastically received by our customers as demonstrated by this record subscriber growth."
