Mobile advertising offers operators another way to drive strong business results and increase user satisfaction, as well as forge ties with advertising brands, according to a Comverse presentation at the upcoming Mobile Advertising 2009 in Amsterdam, a premier event for the mobile marketing and advertising industry.
"Unique assets such as knowledge of the user and the ability to reach the user through multiple touchpoints put operators in a strong position to drive mobile advertising," said Guy Yaniv, Vice President and General Manager, Comverse Mobile Advertising. "Offering advertising on mobile devices allows operators to enjoy significant new revenue streams from companies promoting their brands. At the same time, subscribers receive a host of incentives, such as additional talk time or more text messages, if they agree to receive the ads."
In his presentation at Mobile Advertising 2009, Yaniv will address the operator's ability to leverage unique assets to derive greater benefit from their networks, demonstrating many of the opportunities made possible by Comverse's comprehensive Mobile Advertising solution, which manages and optimises advertising over all channels reaching consumers, such as voice, messaging, mobile internet, video and billing.
Earlier this year, Comverse announced that Singapore-based SingTel, one of the world's leading telecommunications companies, will be using its Mobile Advertising solution.
"Advertisers recognise that operators know a great deal about their subscribers and have trusted relationships with them," Yaniv said. "As a result, operators can determine their subscribers' preferred channel for receiving promotional material. In today's multimedia-driven society, that approach is crucial for advertisers wanting to reach targeted groups of consumers, which has the potential to achieve the highest return on investment for their promotional dollars."
Yaniv will speak on the opening day of the Mobile Advertising 2009 Conference, which will be held in Amsterdam.
