Control Light Switches from an iPhone
Domestic lighting control firm, Lutron Electronics says that it has developed an iPhone interface for its Homeworks whole-home lighting control system. With the touch of an icon, users gain complete access to their Homeworks system and keypads - including when not at home.
From setting the mood in advance of their arrival home, to energy saving with pre-set lighting levels users have the ability to switch off lights if their schedule changes or they have been left on while away.
Andrew Bechgaard, head of marketing EMEA at Lutron comments: "With Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices now able to control our Homeworks system from anywhere in the world, we can now offer end users even more control options for their lighting. Our Homeworks system is all about complex functionality with an easy to use interface, so the fit with Apple iPhone for us and our customers is perfect".
