Sony Ericsson Shows Low-Cost Walkman Phone
Sony Ericsson has shown off a couple of new mobile phones, the basic S312 and the low-cost Walkman branded W205.
The S312 comes with a 2-megapixel camera with built in photo editing software, and that is about it. The S312 supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE/900/1800 and will be available in selected markets from Q2.
Likewise, the W205 comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera, built in FM radio and the music identification software, TrackID. It also comes pre-loaded with the Opera Mini Web browser.
"The W205 is perfect for those who love portable music but have never had the Walkman phone experience." said Timo Maassmann, Marketing business manager at Sony Ericsson. The W205 Walkman supports GSM/GPRS/900/1800 and W205a supports GSM/GPRS 850/1900, will be available in selected markets from Q3.
