Mobile Billing Vendor Lures Exec from Rival Firm
Bango's director of New Business Development, Marc Saulino has moved over to rival mobile billing vendor, Billing Revolution to take up a similar role as VP of Business Development. In his new role, Mr. Saulino will oversee sales of the company's technology platform, new customer relationships, and business development efforts globally.
While at Bango, Mr. Saulino played an integral role in growing the company's North American business, forging strategic alliances with Dada Entertainment, Discovery, Gameloft, Oberon Media, Quickplay and many more.
"The competitive nature of the industry means that only the strongest companies that embrace forward looking business models will thrive," said Michael Dulong, co-founder of Billing Revolution. "We feel that Marc joining our executive team is an important addition for us as we lead this market globally, expand the breadth of our offerings, and continue to serve an ever growing base of customers looking to bring more efficient payment options to their users."
Founded in 2008, Billing Revolution expects to process $100 million in mobile payment transactions during 2009 and is witnessing a staggering increase in the volume of transactions handled, including nearly a 500% leap this month alone.
"The current market demand for secure mobile credit card payments and transactions is enormous and Billing Revolution is firmly positioned as the global leader in the category," said Saulino. "We expect a steep growth cycle over the next several years and it's great to join a veteran team whose collective industry experience gives us a distinct competitive advantage."
