Huawei Wins CDMA Contract from Cox Communications

Huawei has confirmed reports which emerged last week that it has selected to provide its end to end CDMA solution and services to Cox Communications in the USA. Cox, the third-largest cable provider in the United States, is planning to launch a 3G wireless network utilizing Huawei's LTE-ready SingleRAN solution and 3900 Series base stations.

"We are committed to enhancing the experience of our customers through the addition of wireless service to the Cox bundle," said Stephen Bye, Cox's vice president of wireless. "In working closely with Huawei's dedicated support team and through the use of its wireless technology and systems, we have made monumental strides in the development of our wireless network, enabling us to move quickly toward the launch of Cox's wireless services."

"We are honored to have been selected by Cox Communications, the third largest cable provider," said Ken Hu, Chief Sales and Service Officer of Huawei. "This project is another important milestone to us in North America, and we are committed to delivering a quality network to Cox and continuously supporting our customers with high-quality products and services."

No financial details were provided.
