Devicescape Launches White-Lable Wi-Fi Password Manager

Wi-Fi software developer, Devicescape has announced a new program to customize its "Easy Wi-Fi" application specifically to a service provider's own network footprint and brand. This new program gives service providers their own "locked Easy Wi-Fi" application which automates access only to their own network and roaming partners, in order to deliver a hassle-free experience to their customers.

"Trustive provides high-speed Wi-Fi access to frequent travelers looking to tap into our extensive global network of Wi-Fi hotspots," said Caroline Berry, Sales & Marketing Director of Trustive. "We needed a way for our customers to have a seamless, one-click connection to Wi-Fi on the iPhone, so we turned to Devicescape to develop a locked Easy Wi-Fi hotspot application. Now, with Devicescape, our iPhone customers can effortlessly tap into any of our more than 90,000 Wi-Fi networks."

Wi-Fi connectivity has historically been a source of frustration for PC and smartphone users, despite the increasing relevance of Wi-Fi as a way to enable media-rich services while containing network costs. In fact, in the "Devicescape Wi-Fi Report," issued January 2009, respondents stated that complicated login screens, difficulty identifying appropriate hotspots and poor quality-of-service were key complaints. Devicescape's Easy Wi-Fi bypasses these complications, thereby increasing overall customer satisfaction and usage.

Devicescape recently released "locked" versions of Easy Wi-Fi for several major networks, including AT&T, T-Mobile US and Trustive. These applications are available for the iPhone and iPod touch at the Apple App Store.

Devicescape can create locked Easy Wi-Fi applications quickly for most smartphone and PC platforms, including Symbian S60, Apple iPhone OS, and Windows. The applications can be branded to meet the needs of the service provider, and distributed to end-users through embedding in devices and on-line via websites and app stores.
