AT&T, CWA Reach Tentative Agreement on Mobility Contract

Bargaining teams for AT&T and the Communications Workers of America on March 2 reached a tentative agreement on a collective bargaining agreement for about 20,000 wireless employees covered by the Mobility Orange contract.

The employees are in all parts of the United States with the exception of the Southwest and Southeast regions and Puerto Rico, which have separate contracts.

AT&T feels the agreement is a good one - both in terms of the compensation and workplace opportunities it provides covered employees, and in the flexibility it allows the company to meet increasingly aggressive competition in the marketplace.

During the coming days and weeks, the CWA will submit the agreement to its members for a ratification vote.
