Tele2 Switches Dutch MVNO to T-Mobile
Tele2 has announced the signing of a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) agreement with T-Mobile for both GSM and 3G mobile services in the Netherlands. Currently Tele2 is the largest MVNO in the Netherlands with more than 450,000 mobile customers.
Tele2 originally set up the MVNO in the Netherlands in 2001, operating on the Telfort network.
Harri Koponen, President and CEO of Tele2 comments:"We are very pleased with the agreement which gives Tele2 improved margins on an already profitable market. The agreement also allows us to continue to offer high quality products and at the same time ensure our price leading position".
Tele2's first MVNO agreement was announced in Denmark in October 2000.
