Microsoft Announces New Mobile Advertising Partners
Microsoft announced that several major European mobile publishers and network operators have chosen Microsoft as their mobile advertising partner. The announcement builds on the acquisition of ScreenTonic and the roll out of advertising opportunities on Microsoft's owned and operated mobile services.
Operators to choose Microsoft Advertising Mobile Media include Mobistar (Orange Group) and BASE, the second and the third largest mobile operators in Belgium respectively.
Marc Henri Magdelenat, Director, Mobile Media, Microsoft Advertising, commented: "As the mobile advertising market opportunity expands, Microsoft Advertising continues to build its portfolio of mobile media offerings, through continued focus on delivering unrivalled experience, expertise and service to our partners. We offer both full-service solutions that allow premium publishers and mobile operators to effectively monetise their mobile inventory - more crucial today than ever before given the tough times we are operating in."
These new partnerships build on the recent news that Verizon Wireless has selected Microsoft to provide mobile search and mobile advertising services to customers on its devices.
New publishers now part of Microsoft's mobile media network:
- eFinancialNews and Private Equity News - the financial and private equity news sites, part of Dow Jones
- El Mundo Deportivo - the third largest daily sports newspaper in Spain
- Le Parisien.fr - The mobile site of Le Parisien-Aujourd'hui en France, the first daily newspaper in France
- Le Post.fr - the first French interactive mobile site
- La Vanguardia - the third largest daily newspaper in Spain
- WAYN - the fast growing mobile travel site in France, Spain and the UK
