NetHawk's LTE Testing Success Continues in North America
NetHawk has announced the receipt of significant LTE test system orders from an unnamed North American telecom infrastructure vendor. These shipments will further extend customer's NetHawk EAST LTE load test simulation systems for eNodeB, EPC and LTE UE testing in multiple international sites.
Verizon Wireless is currently testing LTE on its network.
NetHawk is deploying its NetHawk EAST platform with ATCA blades and NPU processor units. Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) hardware is a platform that offers scalability with ultimate performance and reliability. The Network Processing Unit (NPU) with specialized co-processors for TCP, IPSec, encryption and compression improves protocol processing performance and offers even more capacity for heavy load testing.
"These recent orders prove that NetHawk's product offerings are really competitive in this new technology. We are winning and keeping new customers that we did not have in 3G", says Jari Sankala, Executive Vice President of Sales at NetHawk. "Another major reason for this follow-on test system order has been the strong global support that NetHawk has given on customer's international R&D sites".
