Convergys Extends Relationship with Leading Brazilian Wireless Carrier
Convergys has announced that Brazilian long-standing client Vivo has extended its five-year partnership with the firm with a new two-year contract to provide production operations support. Convergys' consulting and services team is also working with Vivo on two other projects aimed at growing Vivo's national footprint and ensuring the operator's ability to support future growth.
Under the terms of the two-year contract extension, Convergys will continue to manage its solution in the production environment, supporting postpaid subscribers with provisioning, activation, customer care, dispute resolution, finance, collections, rating and billing, usage, customer interfaces, and the launch of new products and services.
Convergys' consulting and services team has also worked with Vivo and its operational system vendors to implement a key software tools upgrade that will ensure Vivo has the infrastructure capacity it needs for future growth. As part of the upgrade, Vivo will benefit from the newest version of Convergys' solution that will allow for more effective management of provisioning orders.
"Convergys is an important business partner in supporting the company's future growth as we develop our strategic evolution plan," said Christiane Edington, Vivo's CIO.
"Vivo remains focused on its goals of serving its customers well while growing its business in the competitive Brazilian market," said Jean-Hervé Jenn, Convergys President International. "Convergys has supported Vivo through the years as it grew into a major world telecommunications power. Convergys remains committed to delivering the specialized tools and support Vivo requires to successfully meet its aims."
