GPRS Testing Comes to the USA

Cetecom has announced that it has completed the installation of the ANITE SAT4 GPRS test platform in its American Silicon Valley facility. This conformance test system implements 25 validated test cases for GPRS. Most of them, 20, have been validated by Cetecom and are related to the 900 and 1800 MHz frequency bands. In the 1900 MHz, 5 test case are validated. The total number of test cases that have already been submitted for validation is fifty-three (53). By offering this service in the US, Cetecom is trying to gain an edge in the emergent GPRS market in the USA. "We are seeing how the GPRS market is taking off.", adding "North American operators are also playing an important role in this evolution and as a result of this we already have some terminals being tested in our test facility" says Ma'an Ghanma, GSM/GPRS Team Leader at Cetecom."
