The Sun Newspaper Updates its Mobile Internet Site
UK tabloid newspaper, The Sun has relaunched its mobile internet site - as part of News International's first phase of its mobile investment programme. The new look site focuses on the key editorial sections of news, sports and showbiz, and allows users to easily access, rate and send stories.
James Davis, News InternationalÃ's Commercial Business Partner, responsible for mobile across The Sun, The Times and News of the World said "WeÃ've seen massive growth in traffic across all our mobile sites in the final part of 2008 and although weÃ're proud of the work to date, we had the opportunity to take The SunÃ's mobile experience to the next level.
"The enhanced site focuses on The SunÃ's core strength - its editorial, by providing users with intuitive access to the latest breaking stories. WeÃ've retained key sections of the site, added interactive elements and enhanced the browsing experience."
Pete Picton, The Sun Online Editor said: "This year we won Mobile Site of the Year at the Association of Online Publishers' Awards. Now we're moving forward again and building on our current success."
The Sun is the first newspaper from the News International stable to benefit from mobile and interactive enhancements. Investment will continue across other News International titles in the coming months.
