Samsung Mobile Installs 115 Charging Stations at Three of the Busiest U.S. Airports

Samsung Mobile has set up 115 charging stations at three more US airports to enable passengers to recharge their mobile phones if necessary. The new airports are George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH), Miami International Airport (MIA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). With todayÃ's additions, Samsung Mobile has installed charging stations in 10 of the nationÃ's busiest airports in the USA, which are accessible to more than 395 million passengers annually.

"This is the largest number of charging stations Samsung Mobile has announced in one day," said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Mobile. "With the holiday travel season just around the corner, we want the Samsung Mobile charging stations to reduce stress, keep families connected and provide a much-needed convenience to travelers trying to reach their loved ones."

"One of our top priorities is to give each passenger the best customer service they could possibly get at HoustonÃ's airports," says Rob Wigington, Houston Airport System Deputy Director. "Providing electronic outlets for passengers to charge their gadgets while theyÃ're on the go to Bush IntercontinentalÃ's 105 domestic and nearly 70 international destinations will definitely be a plus for them."

Samsung Mobile Charging Stations are outfitted with four outlets per station, allowing several travelers to re-charge their electronic devices at the same time for free. The stations are built to charge personal electronics designed for U.S. voltage (i.e., 120 volts), and are also equipped with a small shelf to hold travelersÃ' mobile phones and other electronic equipment. Dominion Virginia Power, Reliant Energy in Houston and Florida Power and Light will provide electricity for charging stations at each airport.
