Wi Fi roaming service provider, Boingo Wireless has inked a deal to add Telefonica to its growing Boingo Roaming Network, giving Boingo members access to nearly 2,600 incremental hotspots. Additionally, Telefonica customers will be able to login to 7,000 Boingo hotspots throughout the world, including more than 20 of the top airports in North America.

Telefonica operates the largest roaming network in Spain with close to 2,200 hotspots. Telefonica Spain is the first affiliate within the Telefonica Group to launch with Boingo, and Telefonica Argentina with 400 hotspots, will join the Boingo Roaming Network in the very near future.

"With the addition of Telefonica to the Boingo Roaming System, we are continuing to bring our subscribers new hotspots in the top countries for business and travel," said Luis Alfonso Serrano, vice president of network strategy for Boingo. "No matter where you are traveling in the world, Boingo is the clear choice to stay connected to a high-speed network."

Boingo combines over 100,000 locations from more than 150 leading Wi-Fi operators into one worldwide network spanning 90 countries. Boingo subscribers can connect to any of these locations with a single Boingo account using GoBoingo, Boingo's free Wi-Fi client software, which combines more than 660 network names into one "Boingo Wireless" network and stores the user name and password to simplify identifying and connecting to commercial Wi-Fi networks.
