Intec has announced a contract extension with Africa based, Atlantique Telecom to supply its InterconnecT software to Atlantique mobile subsidiaries throughout French speaking Africa, on a single centralised platform deployment.
The announcement follows Intec's installation in Abidjan for Moov Ivory Coast, one of Atlantique's key subsidiaries. The next four Moov operations in Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger and the Central African Republic have already gone live with the Intec Interconnect deployment all ahead of schedule. Togo and Gabon will follow shortly.
One of the key aspects of that deal is that the same InterconnecT platform will be shared by all Atlantique subsidiaries; remote access on the system hosted in Abidjan allows use of the system by the different countries.
"Our commercial challenge was to reduce our wholesale costs for national and international interconnect traffic while continuing with our sustained expansion, and Intec has met this without fault," commented Aboubacar Coulibaly, Group IT Director at Atlantique Telecom. "Intec's high-performance, powerful and accurate solutions have already made a significant contribution to our billing challenge and we would not want to work with a more professional and supportive technology partner."
