Navigation Devices Beginning to Find Their Way in Europe
The Portable Navigation market rose by 19% in terms of units in the three months up to August, compared to the same period for the previous year according to GfK Retail and Technology, although the market value shrank.
The decline in prices of Portable Navigation Devices has been decelerating since January 2008. Average selling prices fell by 7% between January and August 2008 after decreasing by 28% between May 2007 and January 2008.
Compared to the period between March and May in 2008, sales in Europe between June and August were up 15% in terms of volume and 12% in terms of value, confirming that sales of Portable Navigation Devices are on the right track in Europe.
