Canadian Operator Orders Radio Frequency Planning Tool

Canada's Telus has entered into a multi-year agreement to purchase Mentum's Planet radio frequency planning software and related solutions. Mentum says that the software enables Telus engineers to simulate wireless networks across different areas and terrains, including urban and suburban regions, to help them determine how to best design cellular towers to better serve their clients.

"Mentum Planet software allows our engineers to make accurate and timely decisions to better support our clients," said Raymond Saoumah, Telus regional vice-president. "Having a single vendor that offers software, data and technical services is a great benefit to working with Mentum."

In addition to Mentum Planet software licenses, Telus selected MentumÃ's Universal Model to provide highly accurate simulation for its radio frequency planning needs.

"WeÃ're thrilled that a leading Canadian operator has endorsed Mentum with a multi-year agreement," said Bernard Breton, head of sales and marketing, Mentum. "This agreement is a further example that our focused approach to RF planning software and related services is resonating with our customers and the market."
