Ericsson Extends MMS Management Contract with Alltel Wireless

Ericsson has extended its relationship with USA based mobile network operator, Alltel Wireless for complete system operations and maintenance of Alltel's Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS).

Ericsson has overseen operations and support of Alltel's MMS solutions since 2003.

"The extension of our agreement with Alltel demonstrates our commitment to support our long-term relationship with one of the key wireless operators in the country," said Angel Ruiz, president and chief executive officer for Ericsson North America. "This deal guarantees that Ericsson will continue to deliver the highest quality multimedia content to Alltel customers."

Alltel serves more than 13 million customers and is shortly to be incorporated within Verizon Wireless.
