Saudi Police Arrest Mobile Phone Thief
Police in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah have arrested an African national for allegedly stealing mobile phones from their owners whilst they were in the middle of their phone conversations. The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) used undercover police to arrest the alleged mobile phone thief.
One of the undercover police noticed the man intently watching another man who was using a mobile phone and hence distracted by their phone conversation. When the man tried to snatch the phone from its owner, the police apprehended him.
Police found several mobile phones on the man and he was unable to switch them back on as they were PIN locked. Police said this proved the phones had been stolen from other people.
