Third GSM Network Awarded Extra Radio Spectrum

Irelands Meteor Mobile Communications has been awarded extra spectrum by the Irish telecoms regulator. The network was awarded 2 by 4.8 megahertz of 900 MHz spectrum initially, and has now been awarded an additional 2 by 2.4 megahertz of 900 MHz spectrum. The company was charged an undisclosed fee for the extra spectrum, to bring it in line with the other two GSM networks."
