Tata Indicom Crosses Six Million Subscriber Mark

Indian CDMA operator, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML) has announced that it has crossed the 6-million-subscribers milestone in the Mumbai and Maharashtra circles.

Keeping pace with the rapid subscriber growth in Mumbai, Rest of Maharashtra and Goa, TTML has made substantial progress in upgrading its networks to 3G capability and building a congestion-free network - certified by TRAI as the only operator with ‘zeroÃ' congested Points of Interconnection - for enhanced customer satisfaction.

Other key initiatives that are contributing to this fast pace of growth include the introduction of a wide range of offerings targeted at specific segments, enhanced retail expansion and rural telephony development.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Milesh Ruparel, President (Corporate) said, "The 6-million milestone speaks volumes for the trust that our customers have shown in Tata Indicom.
