SingTel Looses Government Golden Share

Singapore Telecom (SingTel) has announced that the Singapore government will be relinquishing its golden shareholding, which gave it a veto control over the company's actions. The governments shareholding in the company is believed to be making it harder for SingTel to forge overseas alliances and may have delayed its recent takeover of Optus in Australia."
