GPRS Testing Begins in Philippines

In the Philippines, Globe Telecom has begun testing its GPRS upgrade, offering the service to a select group of its customers. The service is currently available in the Makati, Ortigas, Manila and Metro Cebu areas, and a couple of "Globe Telecom Business Centers" in Manila have been set up to demonstrate the GPRS service to interested consumers in order to generate interest and demand."
