Tanzania Launches Zain Global Brand

APA-Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) Jamaican-born reggae star Norville Rogers, better known as Shaggy, will on Friday in Dar es Salaam perform a concert to mark the rebranding of Celtel Africa into Zain global brand in Tanzania.

Zain Tanzania marketing manager, Constantine Magavilla, told APA over telephone Friday that Shaggy with his 16-member group arrived in the country on Thursday and will perform with other popular musicians from East Africa during the launch.

Magavilla named singers who will perform along with Shaggy as Wahu and Nameless from Kenya and a group called Obsessions from Uganda.

He said Zain was proud to bring this spectacular concert to Dar es Salaam residents as an opportunity to experience "a wonderful world", Zain new slogan.

Magavilla said 1,000 free tickets have been given out to customers of other cellular phone networks who have answered correctly questions about Zain.

Zain Group has re-branded all its 14-country Celtel operations across Africa to Zain since 1 August.
