O2 Stores to Sell Polaroid Cameraphone Printer

Published on: 7th August 2008

Polaroid has announced a retail partnership with UK mobile phone provider O2, following the launch of its PoGo Instant Mobile Printer in July. O2 will now sell the Polaroid PoGo and accessories in all of its 480 retail stores nationwide starting from next week.

Weighing just eight ounces, the Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer uses Bluetooth technology, which is now standard in most mobile phones, to receive pictures and creates full-colour digital photos without the need for ink cartridges or ribbons.

Steve Smith, UK Sales Manager for Polaroid, says: "More than 228 billion photos will be captured on mobile phones by 2010, according to InfoTrends, and the Polaroid PoGo¢â€ž¢ Instant Mobile Printer provides the ideal way to print and share these trapped images."

Since its launch in July the Polaroid PoGo Instant Mobile Printer has been available at PC World, Curry's Digital, John Lewis, Play.com and Amazon.
