Verizon Wireless Adds 1.5 Million Customers in Q2 '08

Verizon Wireless has confirmed its second-quarter 2008 net customer additions of 1.5 million. At the end of the quarter the company had 68.7 million customers, including 66.7 million retail customers, which are those it directly serves and manages and who choose the Verizon Wireless brand.

Further details about Verizon WirelessÃ' financial and operational results for the quarter will be reported when Verizon Communications announces its consolidated quarterly results on July 28.

Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone Group, which earlier today reported key performance indicators that included its proportionate share of Verizon Wireless net customer additions.
