Brazil Telemar to Raise BRL3B to Complete Brasil Telecom Deal

Leading Brazilian phone company Tele Norte Leste Participacoes, or Oi, said late Friday that it was looking at raising an additional 3 billion Brazilian reals ($1.89 billion) to complete its takeover of Brasil Telecom Participacoes.
