Kazakhstan Operator Installs Anti-Fraud Software
KaR-Tel, Kazakhstan's second largest mobile operator, has installed Neural Technologies' fraud management solution as part of a framework deal between Neural Technologies and VimpelCom, KaR-Tel's parent company.
VimpelCom has been successfully using Neural Technologies' Minotaur solution in its Russian operations since 2002 and KaR-Tel is the first of its numerous affiliates to benefit from the increased fraud protection the solution provides.
The company says that the software reduced fraud on the network to such a degree that it paid for itself within five weeks.
Andrey Maneshin, Director of Fraud Management & Revenue Assurance, for VimpelCom stated, "Minotaur has consistently produced results for us. Over the years it has substantially improved the accuracy of our fraud identification. The solution has kept pace with our tremendous subscriber growth and has proved to be a sound return on investment. The decision to roll out the solution to our affiliates was an easy one and the results are already exceeding our expectations".
