Taiwan Mobile Upgrades MMSC Platform

Taiwan Mobile has deployed a replacement MMSC from Comverse to upgrade and consolidate its multimedia messaging (MMS) service in Taiwan. Taiwan Mobile recently consolidated its three portfolio operators: Taiwan Cellular Corporation, TransAsia Telecommunications and Mobitai Communications, each of which had its own MMS solution from a different vendor, including one from Comverse.

In order to enhance the MMS service offering throughout the network and benefit from operational efficiencies and service advantages, TWM replaced the three-MMSC paradigm with one comprehensive Comverse MMS solution.
