"The FOMA F1100 handset is ideal for the needs of enterprise users who need a combination of compelling features and multiple connectivity options," said Shigeru Kihara, General Manager, Advanced Mobile Phones Division of Fujitsu. "We believe TI's OMAP technology and connectivity solutions are the most optimal to deliver unparalleled multimedia and connectivity experiences."

Fujitsu's 3G F1100 handsets use the OMAP2430 processor to deliver audio, video and imaging capabilities, including a QVGA display, 1.3 megapixel camera capabilities and a microSD card slot. The phone also leverages TI's BlueLink Bluetooth and WiLink Wi-Fi (a/b/g) solutions for connectivity capabilities.

"TI is excited to see Fujitsu leverage the capabilities of TI's OMAP technology and connectivity solutions to deliver an enhanced smartphone user experience," said Raj Talluri, worldwide general manager for TI's Cellular Media Systems Solutions group. "We are pleased to expand our relationship with Fujitsu and help them continue to deliver leading-edge phones that meet the needs of data-hungry consumers."

The F1100 also uses power management and analog technology from TI. The phone is available on the market today.
