Convergys Extends Existing Cellular South Contract

Convergys has announced that it will continue to provide Cellular South with an end-to-end business support solution for the provisioning, usage mediation, billing, and associated customer support of its wireless telecommunications services. Cellular South is one of the largest privately held wireless providers in the United States and is licensed to provide wireless service to a population of more than five million people in the southeast United States. The company has been using the Convergys solution for the past five years.

Under terms of a new 2-year licensing agreement, Cellular South will continue to operate the Convergys solution in Cellular SouthÃ's data center. Convergys will provide system maintenance and support services, as well as application monitoring services and professional and consulting services. The Convergys solution is a major part of Cellular SouthÃ's component-based architecture, and is integrated with Cellular SouthÃ's wireless network and several systems within its BSS/OSS environment.
