DoCoMo Orders Device Management Simulator

InnoPath Software, a developer of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, has said that it will be delivering to Japan's DoCoMo an OMA-DM compliant Server Simulator. Based on OMA-DM (Open Mobile Alliance – Device Management) standards, the Server Simulator will be used by DoCoMo to evaluate OMA-DM service.

The Server Simulator, while optimized for automated testing, scripting and running unusual test cases, leverages InnoPath’s DM Engine, ensuring accurate test results. The DM Engine is the core of InnoPath’s industry leading iMDM Server, powering MDM implementations at some of the world’s leading operators.

“Standards and real-world interoperability are critically important to InnoPath and our customers. We are very proud that NTT DoCoMo has chosen our Server Simulator for evaluation. This illustrates the confidence the industry has in InnoPath’s standards leadership as well as the vital role of standards for mobile operators,” said Shinichi Sawai, President of InnoPath Japan.

A founding member of OMA, InnoPath plays an active, leading role in the standards organization with over 134 submissions and code contributions. The company has made significant contributions to OMA efforts with the Core DM Protocol, FUMO, DiagMon, SCoMO, IOP and other OMA enablers.
