T-Mobile Expects to Get 3G iPhone in Austria

T-Mobile's Austrian office has accidentally let slip that it expects to be offering the oft-rumoured 3G iPhone later this year. The Austrian newspaper, der Standard, quoted T-Mobile spokesman Hendrik Kasteel as saying that the mobile provider would offer a wider range of tariffs when the 3G iPhone launched.

Most commentators expect Apple to announe the 3G iPhone at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June, and Foxconn is reported to have secured an order for 3-4 million handsets to be shipped in the first few weeks after the launch.

Apple declined to comment on der Standard's report.
