Capgemini Wins Dutch Billing Platform Contract
Capgemini has announced that one of its Dutch subsidiaries, Capgemini Nederland, has been selected to migrate the billing platform of T-Mobile in the Netherlands to the latest LHS software version, BSCS iX R2. This system migration is part of the strategic merger program at T-Mobile Netherlands and Orange Nederland.
Capgemini will be responsible for the overall system integration of the new billing solution and the migration from the legacy BSCS solution to the new iX platform. Relying on CapgeminiÃ's global delivery model, Rightshore, the project will be led cooperatively onsite in the Netherlands, in Paris and offshore in CapgeminiÃ's Billing Centre located in India. LHS, a long term partner of Capgemini, will provide the required customisation and the necessary professional services to support this implementation as a sub-contractor to Capgemini.
Gerrit Dekker, Executive Vice-President Information Technology of T-Mobile Netherlands BV: "This is a multi-faceted project, with great impact on our organisation; billing is, after all, one of telecom operatorsÃ' core processes. Because of this, transparency and mutual trust between the parties is, to us, paramount.."
Greg Jacobsen, Capgemini Global Sector Leader Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment: "This new billing project with T-Mobile strengthens our position in the telecommunications sector and is another example of the momentum in one of our key domains of expertise: CapgeminiÃ's Billing Excellence Program." He adds: "CapgeminiÃ's aim is always to transform our clients into optimally performing, flexible organisations. In T-Mobile, we have a business partner whose preference for innovation is a perfect match to our mission."
