Turkish Third Network Goes Live

Turkey got a third GSM network yesterday when the Aria network went into commercial operation. The GSM network, owned by Telecom Italia and the Turkish bank, Isbank will have coverage limited to just Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir initially. The company's license allows it to offer roaming services onto the existing GSM networks, but has been unable to conclude the commercial negotiations yet."
