Two New Pocket PC Phones from Glofiish
E-TEN has announced the Glofiish M810 and M750, the first in its new series of Pocket PC Phones. The Glofiish M810 supports Wi-Fi and HSDPA while the M750Ã's comes with Wi-Fi and EDGE connectivity.
In a novel way of defending medium camera resolution in a mobile phone, the company said that the -megapixel auto-focus camera offers photo file sizes which are ideal for uploading to websites. Additionally, the M810 and M750 are the first E-TEN Pocket PC Phones to include built-in JAVA support allowing downloadable applications, including games, to be played on the device.
The Glofiish M810 and M750 support quad-band GSM, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS. Further specifications include a Samsung S3C processor at 500MHz and 256MB Flash ROM running on the Windows Mobile 6 platform, while dimensions of the handsets are a sleek 109.5 x 59 x 17.5mm.
Both the Glofiish M810 and M750 should be available worldwide in two to three weeks.
Last month, Taiwan based, Acer announced that it is buying E-TEN Information Systems - which trades under the Glofiish brand - for approximately NT$9 billion (US$290 million).
