France's Sagem Mobiles has announced plans to outsource its customer care services to business process outsourcing firm, Anovo. The company will be taking over Sagem's existing call centre in Montauban.
For Anovo, this take-over would represent an exclusive pan-European five-year contract with Sagem Mobiles together with access to specific capabilities (hot-line, management of spare parts, product expertise and audit of the repair centres). Also, it would allow to develop offers for Safran (the parent company) through a five year framework agreement currently under negotiation.
Last year, Sagem secured an agreement to act as an OEM for Sony Ericsson's entry-level handsets. Sony Ericsson established a development unit dedicated to entry-level GSM, GPRS & EDGE mobile phones, based at Sagem Communication’s premises in Cergy, France.
