Sherwood Forest Gets Wi-Fi Coverage
The Center Parcs holiday resort inside the famous Sherwood Forest (of Robin Hood fame) is to get full Wi-Fi coverage after the company signed a contract with Guest-Tek to provide their OneView Internet platform.
Sherwood Forest's Wi-Fi network has been designed to enable HSIA connectivity for guests in premium accommodations and throughout numerous other locations on the 400 acre resort. Guest-Tek will also provide HSIA support to the guests, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In addition, Center Parcs in 2008 has plans to deploy a Wi-Fi network into Center Parcs' Elveden Forest location. Ultimately the intention of Center Parcs is to follow this with further deployments at the 2 remaining Parcs in the UK at Longleat and Whinfell.
"Center Parcs innovative and refreshing approach to resort design has made this a true test of Guest-Tek's WiFi capabilities over large expansive areas," said Brian Fillo, Guest-Tek's Managing Director - Europe, Middle East, and Africa. "Innovative projects like Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest Village help spotlight OneView Internet's flexibility and expandability in design".
