MagtiCom Outsources Mobile Content Portal to WIN

Georgian mobile operator, MagtiCom has launched a new mobile content portal which is to be managed by UK based WIN PLC. The announcement marks the start of a long term relationship between WIN and MagtiCom which will see MagtiCom outsourcing its complete content offering to WIN. The aim of the portal is to drive MagtiCom's data traffic and to create a strong, distinctive brand differentiator in a very competitive market.

The new Magti Fun site will offer MagtiCom customers the latest international mobile games, the best in local and international music and great video entertainment.

Irakli Lobzhanidze, Marketing Director of MagtiCom said; "WIN is an ideal partner to deliver our new content portal because of its unrivalled reputation working with many major network operators for more than a decade, across several European markets. The versatility and advanced functionality of WIN's Emporium means that we can deliver the best content to our customers quickly and conveniently through Magti Fun, while the managed service element allows us to concentrate on our core business of network provision."

MagtiCom is the smaller of the two GSM network operators in the country and according to figures from the Mobile World, they ended last September with just over 1 million customers and a market share of 45%. Market leader is Geocell. There is also a small CDMA operator, Iberiatel with 61,000 subscribers.
