Jazztel Agrees Spanish Mobile Service Launch with Orange

MADRID -(Dow Jones)- Spanish telecommunications company Jazztel said Wednesday it has reached an agreement with France Telecom's mobile unit Orange to offer mobile phone services over its network in Spain.

In a filing with the stock market regulator, Jazztel said it would offer cellular phone services as a mobile virtual network provider, or MVNO.

Jazztel plans to launch the mobile service before the end of the first quarter, a company spokesman said.

Jazztel currently offers a combination of high-speed Internet, fixed-line telephony and pay-TV service in Spain.
