KPN Boss Dismisses iPhone As "pretty Useless"

The chief executive of Dutch phone company KPN, Ad Scheepbouwer has dismissed Apple's iPhone as "pretty useless". Speaking at yesterday's financial results, he said that T-Mobile's exclusive rights to the phone in Germany had not affected sales at KPN's German arm, E-Plus.

"I had one and I thought it was a pretty useless phone, to be quite honest," he told the Financial Times. "The battery ran out in no time. I didn't like the touch screen."

However, despite his dismissal of the handset - he would be interested in selling the phone in The Netherlands if the opportunity arose. He confirmed that the company had approached Apple, but did not have a potential launch date.

T-Mobile Germany has sold around 70,000 iPhones since its launch in the country.
