Huawei Completes Indonesian CDMA Rollout
Huawei has announced that it has completed a CDMA2000 network rollout in Indonesia on behalf of PT Telekomunikasi (Telkom) ahead of schedule. Currently Huawei deploys over half of Telkom's national network which covers the areas of Jakarta, West Java, Center Java and Sumatera.
Mr. Eddy Kurnia, Vice President Public & Marketing Communication Telkom said, "We are greatly impressed by the hard work, quick response and positive working attitude shown by Huawei's team." On the other hand, Eddy added, with the success of this transformation of CDMA2000, Telkom will be able to serve the customers more both in term of quality and coverage. "We've just passed a critical point of transformation successfully, now we are very optimistic to give more to our Flexi customers."
To date, Huawei has built a training center at the University of Indonesia for its staff and customers, 7 service centers, 1 spare parts center, and 8 logistic centers. In the future, Huawei plans to establish a local R&D center in Jakarta, a service center in every region in Indonesia, and regional spare parts centers in Sumatera, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.
