119 IPhones Stolen from UK Retail Store
A total of 119 iPhones, worth around £30,000 have been stolen from a branch of O2's retail chain n South-Eastern UK. A report in the UK trade magazine, Mobile said that thieves broke into the store in Basildon after it had closed on Monday night.
A source told Mobile that the thieves "pretty much cleared the place out".
An O2 spokeswoman said: "W e can confirm there was a break in at an O2 store in Basildon. A police investigation is taking place and we cannot comment any further."
The retailer would have records of the handset serial numbers, the IMEI - and the handsets would be automatically blocked from working on all UK phone networks.
