PARIS -(Dow Jones)- Vivendi's Maroc Telecom unit said Monday that its sales jumped 30% in the fourth quarter, boosted by a strong performance at its mobile phone unit.
Sales at Maroc Telecom, which is 53% owned by French media giant Vivendi, reached 7.21 billion dirhams ($923 million) compared with MAD5.53 billion a year earlier.
In the full year, Maroc Telecom's sales grew 20% to MAD27.53 billion, also benefiting from strong growth at its mobile phone unit.
The company said gross mobile sales in 2007 were up almost 30% to MAD19.30 billion thanks to "huge growth" in its customer base and a "limited decrease" in its average revenue per user.
Vivendi will report its full-year sales Jan. 30.
